Frosty Donut Ice Cream TreatsMakes 12
12 mini cake donuts, unfrosted
2 cups powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons whole milk half and half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pink paste food coloring
1/2cup assorted sprinkles or small candies
1 quart vanilla ice cream or raspberry sorbet
1 can whipped topping
Line a cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper and set aside until ready to use.
In a mixing bowl combine powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk or cream and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Mix and add the extra tablespoon of milk or half and half if necessary to create a smooth icing. Stir in a small amount of pink food coloring mixing well.
Apply frosting to one side of each donut and place on prepared cookie sheet.
Decorate with sprinkles and candies and place all frosted donuts uncovered in freezer.
