Dreamy Dipped StrawberriesMakes 24
24 strawberries
1 One-pound container vanilla candy coating (sometimes called Vanilla Almond Bark)
Powdered food coloring, found at craft and cake decorating stores
Assorted sprinkles, candies, chopped nuts, shredded coconut
Tips from Barbara
1. If the kids like chocolate better than vanilla candy coating use that instead or use both flavors to make everyone happy.
2. Give the kids their own individual bowls of coating and toppings to dip and decorate strawberries just the way they want them.
Foil line a sheet pan
Melt candy coating according to package directions. Add food coloring, stir to blend and set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Pour candy coating into a mixing bowl.
Place a small wooden skewer ½ inch into the stem end of a strawberry. Carefully dip half of the strawberry into the melted candy coating. Place on a sheet pan and sprinkle with choice of toppings before coating hardens. Continue until all strawberries are dipped and decorated.
Place sheet pan in refrigerator for 10 minutes or until ready to serve. Store any leftover strawberries in the refrigerator for up to one day.
