Custom Printed M&M's

Nothing says it like chocolate. Nothing says it like M&M's personalized candies either. Ready? On the count of three, let's swoon ...

Is it worth it to spend the moolah on these pricey, but oh-so-fabulous shower favors? Well, when you hearthe girl gasps and see the Mom-to-Be (or the Bride-to-Be) grinning 'til her face hurts, that has to equal a spiritual Vegas jackpot.

What if Mom-to-Be already knows the sex of her baby and has chosen the baby's name? What if the Bride-to-Be dreams of going to "Fiji" for her honeymoon? What if the shower is co-ed and both names could be... There you go! You've got the idea. I can almost see you clicking the mouse and heading straight to M&M's website

Before you go, let me give you the inside track on this product. You only get to choose two M&M color choices, so you'll need to do some thinking about how you want to use them. You can punch up your shower theme by choosing the candies that coordinate with your room colors, or you might want to go seasonal by matching candy colors to the holidays.

For example, if your shower is taking place near July 4th, this party naturally suggests America's iconic fireworks displays and the flag. In that case, red and blue M&M's just beg to be served in vibrantly white snack bowls. See what I mean? You've already got a patriotic motif going.

One of my favorite summer party looks is to use scallop shells (real or glass ones) for candy displays. I use beach marine blue napkins and tablecloths to offset the white of the shells.

You can go ultra-glamour by making some nonallergenic floral arrangements of inexpensive variety orchids and hydrangeas. If your shower is a late afternoon affair, add a couple long-stem white candles to your table. A few inexpensive touches like these can turn even a slim budget shower into one that looks like a pricey affair. With Diva's money-saving design tips, you might decide to opt for the pricier M&M favor.

On the M&M's you get only two print lines and seven letters per line, including spaces. That's not a lot of room so remember what Shakespeare said: "Brevity is the soul of wit."

3 out of 5 Umbrellas

Diva Rating: 3 out of 5 Umbrellas

The Shower Diva loves her "M's" but it's a high rent product. Little space for lots of cash. For that, Diva snags away 2 umbrellas.
