What’s a DAME to do?!™ Party Game

This is a beautifully designed game with gorgeous photo illustrations and a bright color scheme so festive that Susan “The Shower Diva” used it as her inspiration for tableware and beverages at our game night.* Before you play, show your guests the “How to Play” video from the Games for Dames website so everyone knows what to do. It’s much faster and easier than reading the instructions. If you can, practice playing What’s a DAME to do?! before the actual Bachelorette Party with a couple of your girlfriends from the party planning team.
HOW TO PLAY. During each round, one woman is the “Dilemma Dame.” She picks a dilemma card out of the pile and reads the dilemma aloud, but she doesn’t indicate what she might do. The other players each have 10 response cards in their hand. It’s their job to guess which of those responses comes closest to what the Dilemma Dame would do. After the responses are revealed, players can award a “Hilarious card” to responses that are particularly funny—and the woman who played that response will earn extra points for the round. Then, the Dilemma Dame reveals what she would really do and players who guessed correctly receive points.
When the party gets started, expect to start laughing – and start learning some things about your friends! At our party we left knowing:
- Who would and who wouldn’t go into the men’s bathroom if the women’s was full and they had to go right now!
- Who believes in aliens—and why—which wasn’t even on the dilemma cards as far as we know!
- Who would blame an attack of the giggles in the middle of a solemn religious ceremony on PMS and who would make a game of it!
- Who has the cutest giggle when she says, “Whoopsie!”
- And much more!
While finding yourself in the middle of one of these real life dilemmas would be truly embarrassing, the real life game is not. What’s a DAME to Do?! doesn’t force anyone to reveal an embarrassing secret or do anything humiliating—although as the evening goes on you might find everyone acting sillier and sillier! In fact, the best laughs happen when a player doesn’t have a reasonable response in their hand so they opt to play a ridiculous response.

Interestingly enough, even if you don't know the other players very well, you can still have a blast with What’s a DAME to Do?! because you have to choose from the response cards in your hands—you're not trying to think up a response about a stranger. Many of us had not met Diva Alum Jenny before our Dame Game Night and yet she won the game!
