Invites
Send movie ticket style invitations asking your guests to glam up for the occasion. Let them know that the Guest of Honor will be choosing her favorite costume and there will be a prize for the winner. (Any excuse to say, "The envelope, please," right?)
Decor
Place a red carpet runner to use in front of your door. Hang a VIP entrance door cover on the front door. Decorate inside with gold star balloons, stage lights, tiaras, boas, and movie-star paraphernalia. Place disposable cameras throughout the room so guests can snap "paparazzi" shots of each other.
Refreshment
Youll definitely want to serve ritzy appetizers and fancy cocktails. Try Salmon Mousse, Ali's Amazing Bruschetta, Bada Bada Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms, and some Baby Pears with Crannies and Walnutsat the buffet table. Give "star awards" as prizes. If you're going all out, hire a movie-star look-alike to perform!
