I'm doing my neice's bridal shower. About 45 guests, females only. It will be held on a Friday evening after 6. This will be a cocktail and light dinner party. What are your suggestions for a theme other than wine tasting. Something fun and evening-ish.

First, I'd have to ask you to get inside your niece's mind and find out what type of gal she is. Does she like swing dancing? Is she the more elegant type? Does she prefer poker and the slots in Vegas? Or would her idea of a good time be a sit down dinner with four of her closest gal pals? Obviously the cocktail and light dinner party is the setting, but the theme is what we're discussing -- we'd have to find out your niece's style.
Also, where are you holding the shower? Do you plan to have some games? Or will it be more of a formal affair? Will the gifts be opened at the event or after? These are all questions to ponder. I'm sure I've led to yet more questions than answered them by this email--feel free to email again! I just know whatever you plan and do for her will be lovely because after all, you are doing this with love.
