Is this your first? How exciting! There is nothing better than preparing!! So, get that registry together now. You can peruse many online stores such as BabiesRUs.com and Target.com for ideas. You'll want to make a list of what you need and then pare it down to the essentials.
I recommend that you don't register for baby clothes. You will get more than enough! Most guests prefer to shower you with baby clothes than diapers. However, diapers will be the one thing you'll need a lot of! Also, don't get a diaper bag. Most likely you will get one from the hospital and from companies promoting their infant formulas. You'll end up with more than you need.
I've come up with a registry list that suited me when I had my first baby. I hope it comes in handy for you.
